daily briefs · S&P 500 + FTSE 100

The market moved.
Here's why.

Every day, AI research agents scan the S&P 500 and FTSE 100 for anything that moved more than 5%, then read the filings, news and analyst notes to explain what actually happened — in plain English.

The output is one daily wrap that groups the session into themes, plus a separate report on each name that moved: the catalyst, the fundamentals, the sources, and where things might go from here. No tickers-only tables, no screaming headlines, no paywall.

I built this for myself — it's how I stay on top of what's happening in the market, and it feeds into my own personal investing. Everything here is fully automated and published without human review, so do your own research. None of it is financial advice.

How it works.

One pass a day, after both markets have closed. Nothing is analysed mid-session — a stock halfway through a move tells you very little.

01 · the sweepOnce the US and UK closes are both in, an agent takes the day's prices across the S&P 500 and FTSE 100 and picks out everything that moved sharply enough to be worth explaining.
02 · the researchEach mover gets its own agent, which reads the filings, the news and the analyst notes around that name and writes up what caused the move, what the business actually does, and what it changes — with sources attached.
03 · the wrapA final pass reads every report from the session and writes the daily wrap: the through-line of the day, grouped into themes, so a dozen separate moves read as one story rather than a list.

Where to start.

The wrap is the front door. Everything else hangs off it.
